The whole problem is that we as Americans are raised to believe everything revolves around us. We have the freedom to just about anything we want and we don’t really think about the future until it is too late. That is the whole problem. Most people don’t pay attention and therefore don’t care about an issue until it affects them. How about a little foresight, people? Try thinking about others for a change and how the current government affects the future of our children, for example.
I saw a nice little bumper sticker the other day, it read “Practice Abstinence – No Bush, No Dick”. A little childish, but any joke at the expense of these morons is a good one.
